Major Chinese steel producer Hebei Iron and Steel Group has announced that in March this year its subsidiary Handan Iron and Steel Group (Hansteel) produced a total of 45,179 mt of cold rolled products, while it shipped 36,000 mt or 78 percent of this output to customers in foreign markets.
The principal overseas customer for Hansteel's cold rolled products is Switzerland-based Duferco Group. In September 2011, Hansteel signed a three-year contract for the supply of CR steel for automotive application to Duferco Group.
