Hebei Province-based Handan Iron and Steel Co. (Hansteel) recently inaugurated production of SM570 plate. As of October 13, 2500 mt of the plates in question had been produced, with over 95 percent meeting the required standards. The successful production of SM570 plate strengthens Hansteel's range of plate varieties.

SM570 belongs to the category of low alloy Japanese Standard plate, and its tensile strength and hardness are improved through adding niobium and vanadium. Due to its excellent welding features and high tensile strength and toughness, the plate is widely applied in many areas including engineering machinery.
