"Gol-e-Gohar will reach a capacity of 8.5 million mt per year of iron ore concentrate by the spring of 1390 [i.e. spring of 2011] by the implementation of our development projects," Mr. Mohammad Jalalmaab, managing director of Iranian miner Gol-e-Gohar, stated recently. Gol-e-Gohar produced about 7.1 million mt of iron ore concentrate, along with fines and lumps, in the last Iranian year (ended March, 2010), with its output remaining rougly stable compared to previous years.

Gol-e-Gohar, one of the main Iranian iron ore miners, is based at Sirjan city in southern Iran, about 300 km south of the Persian Gulf port of Bandar Abbas.
