German crude steel output up 2.7 percent in October

In October this year, Germany's crude steel output amounted to 3.63 million metric tons, rising by 2.7 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, according to the information provided by the German steel federation Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl (WV Stahl). In the January- October period, crude steel production in Germany increased by 0.3 percent year on year to 36.20 million mt.
 
Meanwhile, in September Germany's total hot rolled steel product output amounted to 3.11 million metric tons, increasing 1.7 percent year on year, including 1.94 million metric tons of flat steel products - up 2.4 percent year on year, and 1.17 million metric tons of long steel products - up 0.6 percent year on year.
 
In the first nine months of the year, the country's hot rolled steel output increased by 1.9 percent to 28.18 million mt, consisting of 18.46 million metric tons of flat steel products - up 1.2 percent year on year, and 9.7 million metric tons of long steel products - rising by 3.3 percent year on year.
