Gerdau Ameristeel completes acquisition of Century Steel

Gerdau Ameristeel announced Wednesday that it has purchased Century Steel for $152 million. 

Through Pacific Coast Steel, a majority owned Gerdau Ameristeel joint venture, Gerdau was able to snatch up Century Steel, Inc. (CSI), a reinforcing and structural steel contractor. On Wednesday the company announced that it acquired all the assets of CSI for approximately $152 million. 

Century Steel Inc., headquartered in Las Vegas, NV, specializes in the fabrication and installation of structural steel and reinforcing steel products. CSI has businesses in Nevada, California, Utah and New Mexico, with fabrication facilities that have an annual capacity in excess of 250,000 net tons.
