In the first quarter this year, Georgia's total external trade turnover with Turkey, which is the top trading partner of the country, amounted to $373.3 million, including imports worth $316.05 million, down by 89.9 percent, and exports worth $57.26 million, decreasing by 32.9 percent, both on year-on-year basis, according to the data provided by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
In the given period, semi-finished products of iron or non-alloy steel ranked first among Georgia's most exported products to Turkey, amounting to 27,468 metric tons, up by 108 percent year on year. Meanwhile, the value of these exports totaled $10.44 million, up 59.35 percent year on year.
