Georgia’s semi-finished exports to Turkey up 0.8% in January-July

In the first seven months of the current year, Georgia's total external trade turnover with Turkey, which is the top trading partner of the country, amounted to $870 million, including exports worth $125.01 million, down 14.4 percent, and imports worth $745.27 million, decreasing 23.1 percent, both on year-on-year basis, according to the data provided by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
 
In the first seven months, semi-finished products of iron or non-alloy steel ranked third among Georgia's most exported products to Turkey, amounting to 47,522 metric tons, up 0.8 percent year on year. Meanwhile, the value of these exports totaled $17.45 million, down 23.3 percent year on year.
 
On the other hand, in the given period, Georgia's imports of tubes and pipes of iron from Turkey totaled $23.31 million, rising by 24.2 percent on year-on-year basis.
