Gas explosion hits Xinyuan Coal Mine in China’s Xinjiang region

In the morning of July 7, a gas explosion occurred at Xinyuan Coal Mine in Santanghu, Barkol County, in China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, resulting in four fatalities and in serious injuries to one other person, according to Xinjiang Bureau of Coal.
 
The authorities in Barkol County have sent an investigation team to the site to determine the specific causes of the gas explosion.
