Ford Otosan commences modernized Yeniköy plant

Turkish automotive producer Ford Otosan has announced that it has inaugurated its revamped Yeniköy plant.

As part of a €2 billion investment plan for the 2021-2025 period, the production capacity of the plant in question has been increased to 245,000 units from 68,000 units. As of September this year, the company is investing €1 billion in next-generation one-ton medium commercial vehicle production at the Yeniköy plant. Ford anticipates that the production capacity will reach 405,000 units by 2025 within the scope of ongoing investments.

Additionally, Ford Otosan has shifted the medium commercial vehicle production capacity of 195,000 units from its Gölcük plant to the Yeniköy plant. The production capacity of Transit vans at the Gölcük plant has been revised to 207,000 units.
