A massive five-alarm fire at Upper Moreland, Pennsylvania-based sheet fabricator Trico Metal Products gutted the building and caused power to shut off to approximately 900 nearby homes and businesses.
In addition to burning so intensely that firefighters struggled to get close enough, the building suffered a series of explosions caused by compressed natural gas tanks. The front and back wall of the building collapsed.
No injuries were reported, but local media reported that members of the family that owns Trico Metal Products said it “might be the end of the business.”
