The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) announced Tuesday its final determination that dumped imports of certain carbon steel plate and high strength low alloy steel plate from Ukraine threaten to cause material injury to the domestic Canadian industry.

Previously, the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) calculated a final dumping margin of 15.0 percent for Azovstal and the Metinvest Group of Companies and a dumping margin of 21.3 percent for all other exporters.

As the result of these determinations, the CBSA will issue a formal dumping order. The investigation was initiated on July 6, 2009, following a complaint from Essar Steel Algoma Inc.
