Canadian Border Services Agency makes final determination in AD investigation of plate from Ukraine

On Monday, January 4, 2010 the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) made an affirmative final determination in the antidumping investigation of certain carbon steel plate and high strength low alloy steel plate from Ukraine, under the following HS codes: 7208.51.91.10, 7208.51.91.91, 7208.51.91.92, 7208.51.91.93, 7208.51.91.94, 7208.51.91.95, 7208.51.99.10, 7208.51.99.91, 7208.51.99.92, 7208.51.99.93, 7208.51.99.94, 7208.51.99.95, 7208.52.90.10, 7208.52.90.91, 7208.52.90.92, 7208.52.90.93, 7208.52.90.94, 7208.52.90.95.

The CBSA calculated a final dumping margin of 15.0 percent for Azovstal and the Metinvest Group of Companies and a dumping margin of 21.3 percent for all other exporters.

These margins represent a slight increase from the CBSA's preliminary determinations of 14.7 percent and 20.2 percent, respectively.

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal will make its final injury determination in this investigation by February 2, 2010.
