Evraz VGOK (Vysokogorsky Ore Mining and Processing Enterprise), a subsidiary of Russian mining and steel producing company Evraz Group, has implemented a program for the stabilization of the quality of its iron ore concentrate.

As a result, the moisture content in the concentrate has decreased by eight percent thanks to the installation of new filter equipment. More than 2,500 mt of concentrate per day pass through the new filter. The cost of the new equipment is about $270,000. EVRAZ plans to acquire another similar unit during the current year.
