Evraz signs five-year supply contract with UralVagonZavod

Russia-based steelmaker EVRAZ has announced that it has signed a five year contract with Russian machine building company UralVagonZavod (UVZ) for the supply of metal products.
 
The contract is valid from 2012 until 2017 and establishes mutual obligations for the purchase of metal and railway wheels. This collaboration between EVRAZ and UVZ will establish a transparent mechanism for determining the price, the formula for which will be tied to market indicators.
 
UralVagonZavod is one of the largest scientific and industrial complexes in Russia and the largest main battle tank manufacturer in the world. The company's main products include railway cars and tanks, road-building vehicles, metallurgical products, tools and consumer goods.
