Evraz Holding demands restriction on Ukrainian imports

Russian steel producer Evraz Holding has recently demanded Russian government to implement restriction on imports of steel products from Ukraine, after it lost the tender held for Ukrainian mill Krivorozhstal last week. It is stated that any possible restriction on Ukrainian imports will impact Ukrainian economy negatively as it mainly exports to Russia and China. Evraz Holding submitted a bid, which is higher than the winning price however the company failed to meet the term of tender, which requires foreign bidders to be consumer of Ukrainian coking coal for the last three years. Meanwhile it is stated that the demand of Evraz Holding to be official, it should submit evidence indicating that the imports are dumped.
