European commercial vehicle registrations up 18.6 percent in June

In June this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the European Union (EU) increased by 18.6 percent year on year to 197,203 units, rising for the sixth consecutive month on year-on-year basis, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA). In June this year, growth was sustained across all commercial vehicle segments and in all major markets, with increases of 9.4 percent in Germany, 12.5 percent in Italy, 12.9 percent in France, 18.5 percent in the UK and 49.7 percent in Spain, all on year-on-year basis. 
 
In the first six months of this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU totaled 1,030,140 units, up 12.9 percent on year-on-year basis. Spain (+36.8 percent), the UK (+21.8 percent), Germany (+4.6 percent) and France (+1.6 percent) recorded increases, all year on year.
