According to the European Steel Association (Eurofer), in July this year flat steel exports from the European Union totaled 1.302 million mt, while long steel exports amounted to 879,000 mt. Accordingly, overall EU steel exports in July totaled 2.182 million mt, down 11 percent month on month and increasing by 3.75 percent year on year. Steel export activity in July decreased on month-on-month basis despite the favourable trend of euro-dollar exchange rate.
