EU-27 new industrial orders up 1.9 percent in March over February

According to a statement released on May 25 by Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Communities, the new industrial orders index in the European Union member states (EU-27) increased by 1.9 percent month on month in March, after a revised month-on-month increase of 1.1 percent recorded in February. The year-on-year increase in March was recorded at 20.7 percent in the region.

On the other hand, in March new industrial orders in the EU-27, excluding ships, railway and aerospace equipment for which changes tend to be more volatile, rose by five percent month on month and was up 20.3 percent year on year.
