EU-27 new industrial orders up 1.1 percent in February over January

According to a statement released on April 23 by Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Communities, the new industrial orders index in the European Union member states (EU-27) increased by 1.1 percent month on month in February, after a revised month-on-month increase of 0.3 percent recorded in January. The year-on-year increase in February was recorded at 12.7 percent in the region.
 
On the other hand, in February new industrial orders in the EU-27, excluding ships, railway and aerospace equipment for which changes tend to be more volatile, rose by 1.9 percent month on month and was up 13.5 percent year on year.
