Esmark purchases Century Steel

Steel service center Esmark Inc has recently announced that it purchased Century Steel LLC, a 300'000 ton flat rolled steel processing facility in Chicago, for $40 million from company's founders. Century Steel sells 200'000 tons of steel products per annum, which makes it one of the largest distributors of flat rolled steel in the country. Esmark plans to increase annual production of Century Steel to 250'000 tons. Moreover, the revenue of the company is planned to be increased by 20-30%. Esmark officials stated that the company's target is to create a family of tightly-integrated companies that will operate its cold rolled, hot rolled and coated steel operations at full capacity.
