Erdemir appoints new chairman

Turkey's largest integrated steelmaker Erdemir has announced the appointment of Ali Aydin Pandir as the company's new chairman as of November 15.
 
A graduate of the mechanical engineering department of Istanbul Technical University, Ali Aydin Pandir served as CEO of TOFAŞ, Turkish car maker and one of the global production centers of Italian automaker Fiat Automobiles, between 2006 and 2012.
 
After Fatih Tar resigned from his duties as chairman and general manager of Erdemir on August 14 this year, Sedat Orhan, the general manager of Erdemir mining subsidiary Ermaden, was appointed as Erdemir's general manager.
