According to data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in the fourth quarter of 2018 the season and calendar adjusted index of the number of hours worked in construction in Turkey decreased by 8.5 percent compared to the third quarter of last year, while the calendar adjusted index of the number of hours worked fell by 22.1 percent compared to the same quarter of 2017.
On the other hand, in the fourth quarter of last year, the season and calendar adjusted employment index of the domestic construction industry decreased by 7.6 percent from the previous quarter and the calendar adjusted employment index fell by 16.8 percent year on year.
