Donbas eyes Koksownia coking plant

According to industry sources, Ukraine's Industrial Union of Donbas (IUD), which is competing with Mittal Steel to acquire Polish steel mill Huta Czestochowa, is now trying to convince Polish State Railways (PKP) to sell its stake in the Koksownia Przyjaźń coking plant. Officials from Poland's Mining Chamber of Industry and Commerce commented that the move will shake the market since the Treasury's plans to establish a coking coal holding will be jeopardized.
