DOC imposes CVD order on certain flat products imported from Brazil

The US Department of Commerce (DOC), upon the request of Government of Brazil terminated the countervailing duty (CVD) suspension agreement on hot rolled flat rolled carbon quality steel products imported from Brazil. However, the DOC determined to impose countervailing duty order on subject products imported from Brazil in place of the suspension agreement. The CVD order is effective as of September 26, 2004. The duty rates for Brazilian producers are as follows:
