Mexican steelmaker Deacero has signed a contract with the National Energy Control Center (CENACE) as a qualified user, which allows the company to buy electricity from suppliers at better prices, according to a media report from Energia A Debate.

The media report said Deacero was the nation’s first steelmaker to get the qualified user status.

Deacero said the contract makes it more competitive, modern and efficient, since it can save money while purchasing electricity from suppliers.
