Danish company Metalcolour acquires SSAB Laminated Steel

Swedish high-strength steel producer SSAB has sold 100 percent of its shares in SSAB Laminated Steel to Danish coil-coating company Metalcolour A/S, located in Nykobing Falster, southeast Denmark.

The acquisition will expand Metalcolour's current annual production capacity of 13,000 mt based on two-shift operations to 20,000 mt based on three shifts.

SSAB Laminated Steel, located at Ronneby in southern Sweden, has annual sales of about €12 million and employs around 30 persons. The Swedish company will be renamed Metalcolour (Sverige) AB.

Metalcolour A/S manufactures pre-painted and laminated coil in aluminium and steel, for automotive parts, appliances, ships and indoor panels. It has annual sales of around €12 million and employs about 35 persons.
