Daiwa Steel hikes rebar prices

Japanese steel maker Daiwa Steel announced plans to hike its local sales price for reinforcing steel bars by Yen 5'000 ($45) effective for September orders. Sources report that the price increase marks the first hike the producer has put into effect since August 2004.
