Brazilian steelmaker Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (CSN) will grant collective vacations for about 400 workers at its Casa de Pedra iron ore mine in Brazil, a local union said this week. The mine has a capacity of 30 million mt/year.

Workers will go on collective vacations from May 7 to May 20. A local union said CSN’s decision to put the workers on collective vacations revolves around time needed to fix issues with the company’s Casa de Pedra dam.

CSN did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Friday, nor released details of any works at the site.
