Brazilian steelmaker Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (CSN) has presented an updated report attesting to the safety of its Casa de Pedra dam, located in the city of Congonhas, in the state of Minas Gerais.

The company filed the report this week; it was signed by engineering company Dam Egenheria, indicating the dam is stable.

In October this year, the country’s ministry of labor had the Casa de Pedra iron ore mine to be shut down, following a technical report by public prosecutors saying the mine’s dam could collapse.
