The CEO of Brazil’s Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (CSN), Benjamin Steinbruch, is reportedly eyeing a career in politics, according to Estadao.

Steinbruch is reportedly considering joining presidential candidate Ciro Gomes. According to Estadao, Steinbruch could run as vice president with Gomes, one of the many candidates in Brazil’s October elections.

If Steinbruch does not join Ciro, he could try a minister seat or a role at the country’s Senate; but if he does, he could appoint a market trusted executive for CSN, the media report suggested.
