CSC’s issues output and sales results for January

Taiwan's largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced that in January this year its steel production volume dropped 14.9 percent month on month, decreasing to 681,955 metric tons, while the year-on-year increase was 18.7 percent.
     
In January, CSC's sales volume was 814,205 metric tons, increasing by three percent as compared to December last year and down 4.84 percent year on year.
 
In the month in question, the steelmaker's sales revenues amounted to NTD 19.28 billion ($665.57 million), falling marginally month on month and up six percent year on year, while its income before tax totaled NTD 1.98 billion ($68.45 million).
