Construction works at Zhuhai Port coal logistics center completed

Zhuhai Port Authority in Guangdong Province, China announced that the construction of the coal logistics center located in the city of Zhuhai has been completed and the installation of all the large handling equipments is expected to be completed by the end of next month.
 
The investment made so far reached RMB 1.7 billion ($269 million). The coal logistics center, with total investment of RMB 4.57 billion ($724 million) by China Shenhua Energy Co. Ltd, Zhuhai Port Co. and Guangdong Yuedian Group is scheduled to start operation by the end of this year.
 
Involving two 100,000 mt coal loading and unloading berths, one 50,000 mt coal berth, four 3,000 mt coal berths, and one yard with capacity of 2.2 million mt, phase one of the project is designed to achieve an annual throughput capacity of 40 million mt after completion.
