500,000 mt capacity CR silicon steel project to start production in Tianjin

Tianjin, China-based Huangtai New Energy-Saving Electromechanical Material Co. has announced that it has started installation and debugging of its new continuous decarburization, annealing and coating cold rolled silicon steel production facilities, while production is due to start in the near future.
 
With a total investment of RMB 500 million, Huangtai New Energy-Saving Electromechanical Material was established in the Beichen district of Tianjin in January 2011. The main production facilities of the company include one 1,450 mm rolling unit and two decarburization, annealing and coating production lines.
 
The company will mainly produce high and medium grade cold rolled silicon steel, with an annual production capacity of 500,000 mt of cold rolled non-grain-oriented silicon steel and cold rolled grain-oriented silicon steel.
