Colombian crude steel production declines in February

Colombian crude steel output in February declined 9.2 percent, year-on-year, to 108,866 mt, according to the country’s committee of steel producers.
 
Colombia’s crude steel output in February rose 16.8 percent, month-on-month, from 93,197 mt in January.
 
As for the cumulative period of January to February, Colombia’s crude steel production totaled 202,063 mt, 7 percent down, year-on-year.
 
The Colombian committee of steel producers said the country’s longs finished output in February was 110,778 mt, up from 103,799 mt in January, but 5.5 percent down, year-on-year.
 
As for the two-month period, Colombian longs finished production reached 214,577 mt, 5.3 percent down, year-on-year.
