Cold rolling mill No. 2 of WISCO sees increased wide plate output in Jan-Oct

According to Hubei Province-based major Chinese steel producer Wuhan Iron and Steel (WISCO), in January-October of the current year the continuous annealing line of its cold rolling mill No. 2 produced 870,000 mt of wide plate with widths above 1,800 mm. Accordingly, the annealing line's average monthly output of the plates in question to date in the current year is 8,700 mt, up 74 percent year on year.
 
The designed annual capacity of WISCO's cold rolling mill No. 2 is 2.15 million mt. The mill produces cold rolled sheet and color coated sheet, mainly for the automotive and home appliance sectors. The mill's continuous annealing line is the only one in China that can produce plates of widths above 1,800 mm.
