Coal mines in Shanxi below 600,000 mt capacity to be eliminated by end of 2020

The government of China’s Shanxi province has announced that it will eliminate all coal mines whose annual capacities are below 600,000 mt by the end of 2020, in order to reduce the total number of coal mines in the whole province to less than 900, of which at least 76 percent will be large-scale coal mines.
