CISA: China’s average daily crude steel output edges up in late Sept

The China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) has announced that in late September (Sept. 21-30) this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China totaled 1.788 million mt, up 0.5 percent compared to mid-September (Sept. 11-20). Meanwhile, the average aggregate daily crude steel production of all steelmakers in China in late September was estimated at 2.152 million mt, indicating an increase of 0.4 percent compared with mid-September.

Meanwhile, as of September 30 this year, inventory of the main finished steel products in the major steel markets in China totaled 12.613 million mt, down 607,000 mt as compared to the figure recorded on September 20.

According to the CISA's previous figures, in mid-September this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China had amounted to 1.7795 million mt, up 0.97 percent compared to early September (Sept. 1-10). In mid-September, the average aggregate daily crude steel production of all steelmakers in China was estimated at 2.1435 million mt, indicating an increase of 0.66 percent compared with early September.
