Chinese steelmaker Chongqing Iron and Steel has announced that its normalized shipbuilding steel plate has received certification from three classification societies.
During the period from February 21 to March 2 this year, three classification societies - Paris-based Bureau Veritas, Korean Register of Shipping and London-based Lloyd's Register of Shipping - reviewed equipment, technology and quality management system for the
production of normalized shipbuilding steel plate at Chongqing Steel.
Accordingly, Chongqing Steel has received certification from the classification societies in question for its normalized shipbuilding steel plate including common grades (A, B, C, D) and high-strength grades (AH32, DH32, EH32, AH36, DH36 and EH36), as well as for Z25 and Z35 high value-added Z-plate with thickness ≤ 50 mm.
