Chongqing Steel’s crude steel output exceeds 6 million mt in 2011

Chinese steelmaker Chongqing Iron and Steel Group (Chongqing Steel) has announced that in 2011 up to December 30 its crude steel output reached 6.002246 million mt.

On September 16, 2011, phase one of Chongqing Steel's environmental relocation project was completed and put into production, consisting of facilities for the production of steel sheet and strip and also shipbuilding steel plate, with an overall annual production capacity of 6.5 million mt.
