Chongqing Steel’s BF No. 1 produces 985,294 mt of pig iron in H1

Chongqing-based Chinese steelmaker Chongqing Iron and Steel (Group) Co. has announced that in the first half of the current year its blast furnace No. 1 produced 985,294 mt of pig iron, equivalent to 50.40 percent of its production target for 2012.
 
Meanwhile, in the given period average consumption of metallurgical coke per metric ton of pig iron produced by the blast furnace was 509 kg.
