Chinese steelmaker Chongqing-based Chonggang has received certification for its 4.1 m wide and heavy plate for shipbuilding applications from the following classification societies, Norway-headquartered DNV, Germanischer Lloyds and Italy's RINA, after having received certification for this product from China Classification Society and British Corporation Register in March this year.
Meanwhile, Chonggang has also applied for certification for the product in question to US-based ABS, France's Bureau Veritas (BV), Japan's Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (ClassNK) and South Korea-based Korean Register of shipping (KR).
