Chinese steelmakers’ sales revenues down 13.6 percent in January-May

In the January-May period this year, the 99 medium-size and large steel producers in China achieved aggregate sales revenues of RMB 1.05335 trillion ($0.16 trillion), down 13.6 percent year on year, with a total net profit of RMB 8.736 billion ($1.32 billion), up 737.56 percent year on year, according to the figures released by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).
