Chinese steel industry to promote low-carbon production

At the Steel Industry Development Forum recently held in Caofeidian, Beijing, a manifesto advocating low-carbon steel production was approved by a majority of participants representing major Chinese domestic steel producers, including Shougang Steel, Baosteel and Hebei Steel.

According to the manifesto, domestic steel companies will adhere to the principle of low-carbon emissions in their operations and productions, aiming at sustainble development for the steel industry.
