Chinese auto sales up slightly in June

In June this year, sales and production of automobiles in China respectively reached 1.40 million units and 1.44 million units, up 3.83 percent and 3.62 percent compared to May, and increasing by 0.65 percent and 1.40 percent year on year, according to China's Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
 
In the first half of 2011, total sales and production of automobiles in China came to 9.16 million units and 9.33 million units, increasing by 2.48 percent and 3.35 percent as compared to H1 2010.
