China’s automobile exports up 5.9 percent in August over July

According to the statistics released by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), in August this year, total automobile exports of China reached 95,419 units, up 5.91 percent month on month and 10.65 percent year on year. Specifically, in the given month, passenger car exports amounted to 62,818 units, indicating a monthly increase of 9.11 percent and up16.41 percent compared to August last year. Meanwhile, in August commercial vehicle exports increased by 0.25 percent compared to July and 1.02 percent year on year to 32,601 units.
 
In the January-August period of this year, total automobile exports in China reached 675,402 units, up 25.08 percent compared to the same period of last year, including 408,431 passenger cars and 266,971 commercial vehicles, up 29.18 percent and 19.29 percent respectively, both year on year.
