China’s auto imports exceeds one million in 2011

As indicated in the new report entitled ‘China auto import situation in 2011-12 and future development' issued by China Automobile Trading Co., China's auto imports in 2011 amounted to over one million vehicles, rising by 30.1 percent year on year.
 
In 2010, Chinese import auto market had seen stronger growth, with total imports rising 93 percent year on year to 770,000 vehicles.
 
In 2011, China imported 980,000 passenger vehicles, up 30.1 percent year on year, while imports of sports utility vehicles (SUVs) recorded the fastest year-on-year growth rate of 36 percent.
