China’s crude steel output down 1.3 percent in H1

In June this year, China’s pig iron, crude steel and finished steel outputs amounted to 59.04 million mt, 68.95 million mt and 98.43 million mt, down 2.1 percent, decreasing by 0.8 percent and up 1.3 percent year on year, respectively, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In the first six months of the year, China’s pig iron, crude steel and finished steel outputs totaled 356.94 million mt, 409.97 million mt and 558.82 million mt, down 2.3 percent, decreasing by 1.3 percent and rising by 2.0 percent year on year, respectively.
