China’s coking coal exports down 23.9 percent in July

In July this year, China’s exports of anthracite coal and coking coal amounted to 180,000 mt and 30,000 mt, up 41.1 percent and down 23.9 percent year on year, respectively, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities. In the January-July period of the current year, China’s exports of anthracite coal and coking coal totaled 1.31 million mt and 540,000 mt, decreasing by 3.5 percent and rising by 12.4 percent year on year, respectively.

In July this year, China’s overall coal exports (including anthracite coal and coking coal) amounted to 410,000 mt, increasing by 31.9 percent year on year, while the overall coal export volume in the January-July period of the current year totaled 2.76 million mt, down 20.7 percent year on year.
