China’s value-added industrial output up 9.6 percent in Jan-Sep

In September this year, China's overall value-added industrial output increased by 0.72 percent month on month and 10.2 percent year on year, with the growth rate in question down 0.2 percentage points compared to the year-on-year increase rate recorded in August, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on October 18. Meanwhile, in the first nine months of the current year, China's value-added industrial output rose by 9.6 percent year on year.

Of the 41 industrial sectors in China, 25 witnessed year-on-year increases in value-added industrial output in the first nine months of this year. In the given period, respective year-on-year increases of 8.0 percent, 11.7 percent, 9.8 percent, 8.2 percent and 15.3 percent were recorded in value-added industrial outputs in crude steel, finished steel, ten non-ferrous metals, coke and the automotive sector.

In the given month, 304 industrial products saw year-on-year rises in output. China's finished steel output in September totaled 93.55 million mt, up 15.5 percent. Furthermore, ten non-ferrous metals output amounted to 3.45 million mt, up 10.1 percent. Meanwhile, domestic automotive vehicle output amounted to 2.073 million vehicles, up 17.5 percent, while passenger car output totaled 1.138 million units, up 10.4 percent, both on year-on-year basis, according to the data issued by the National Bureau of Statistics.
