In the week ending August 26, steel inventories in China increased to some extent, according to CBN Newswire. In particular, the aggregate inventory of wire rod, rebar, hot rolled coil, cold rolled coil and galvanized steel came to 13.84 million mt, with an increase of 102,000 mt week on week. However, inventories are still lower than levels recorded by the end of July.
Compared with the previous week, rebar and wire rod inventories have registered remarkable increases, while hot rolled coil inventories kept neutral.
